Vendor evaluation guidelines

Overview

We regularly evaluate our translators to ensure the translation quality remains consistent. A project manager may occasionally ask you, as the reviewer of a project, to evaluate a colleague’s translation. They can be either new to Argo Translation, or we simply need a second opinion on a project where we noticed more issues than usual.

How to Review

We will send you a form to fill out digitally through PandaDoc. To help you out, the project manager will provide the project details. In the first section of the form, we ask you for a general evaluation and comments on the quality of the translation.

In the next table, we would like a breakdown of the type of errors or issues found.

To help you count the number of errors, we suggest enabling the filter to see the “Updated segments” in Bureau Works. This means you will see all the segments you edited during the review, and when you click “Track changes” on a segment you will see the previous version by the translator. This way, you can more easily count the errors and see how you fixed them.

If you want to review the translator’s work in general, you can enable the “Changed segments in Previous Workflow”. Clicking on “Track changes” will show how the translator edited the previous version coming from the context-sensitive automatic translation.

The last part of the evaluation is just asking you to confirm if you would be willing to review the translator again, or if you would trust them to review your work.
